E-Learning Event – South West

October 16, 2007

E-Learning Event

I attended an e-learning seminar last month.  The event included various presentations, covering the national picture, the strategy of the South West, and several case studies discussing good practice within individual trusts.

Libraries and librarians were mentioned in several of the presentations.  Librarians had been involved in e-learning projects in various ways: cataloguing e-learning objects, developing e-learning materials and providing drop-in sessions to learn about the managed learning environment used within a trust.

If anyone is currently involved in an e-learning project or interested in e-learning, then it’s worth taking a look at the presentations, the link is above.  If you have any feedback or questions about the presentations/issues they raise, then please feel free to comment on this page.

Libraries able to act as host libraries have been asked to complete an application; their details have been added to the application pack.
Potential shadows will contact a host library to arrange a visit.

Attached is the library shadowing scheme information pack which includes an application form.

If anyone has any comments or questions about the scheme, please leave a comment.  All feedback is welcome.
